WHAT DOES A CYBER OPERATIONS SPECIALIST DO?

WOULD YOU BE A GREAT CYBER OPERATIONS SPECIALIST?

We are seeking a skilled CSOC Tier 2 and 3 Incident Response Specialist to provide 24x7x365 support in the coordination, containment, eradication, and recovery of cybersecurity incidents. The selected candidate will conduct quality control reviews of CSOC Tier 2 and Tier 3 tickets to maintain a high standard of incident analysis and documentation.

As a critical member of the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC), you will analyze malware, manage forensic artifacts, and participate in continuous training to enhance response capabilities. The Cyber Operations Specialist will need to have a strong understanding in malware analysis, forensic artifact handling, and incident response processes to perform digital media analysis, malware analysis, and create custom scripts to aid in incident response and analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

• Active TS//SCI at time of application
• High School Diploma/GED with minimum Ten (10) years relevant experience; Associates Degree (in a technical discipline) with minimum eight (8) years relevant experience; Bachelors Degree (in a technical discipline) with minimum six (6) years relevant experience; Masters Degree (in a technical discipline) with minimum four (4) years relevant experience
• Certification compliant with DoDD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II and CSSP Incident Responder within six months of start.

• Under broad direction, operates and manages all aspects of Information Systems, data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.

• Implements and monitors security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems.

• Develop, design and execute security policies, plans, and procedures to implement data network security measures

• Operate Network Intrusion Detection and Forensics while conducting performance analysis of Information Systems security incidents

• Develop Continuity of Operation (COOP)/Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and supports certification of Information Systems and Networks

• Supervise operation of Electronic Key Management System, other information security duties, and Public Key Infrastructure

• Operate Host Based Security System (HBSS), firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, other point of presence security tools, Virtual Private Networks, and related security operations
