SUMMARY:
The Test Engineer operates sensors and systems and participates in -on test involving navy platforms.
Assigned systems include Radar, Identify Friend or Foe (IFF), data links, Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), Anti-Submarine Warfare/Anti-Surface Warfare (ASW/ASUW), tactics, navigation, communication, armament, ordnance, flight station acoustics or non-acoustics sensors. Testing may involve interaction with tactical computers and system computer, acoustic assignments, objectives, and necessary points of emphasis related to proposed enhancements and new capabilities.
The selected applicants will create Test Development Plans and Procedures for Mission Computer Software.
Augment a well-established team as a Test Engineer. This is a fast-paced team so a willingness to take on challenges to creatively solve customer requirement problems will be required. The successful Test Engineer will be self-motivated and will support new development work as well as sustainment activities.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold an ACTIVE Secret or Top-Secret Clearance at the time of application
- BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline (Degree REQUIRED, neither an associate degree nor additional years of experience can be substituted for a bachelor's degree.)
- At least five (5) years of experience in the engineering field-testing DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems.
- In-depth knowledge of how sensors are used on their resident platforms
- In- depth knowledge and sufficient background/experience for enabling projections of upgraded equipment into future mission requirements.
- Must have experience evaluating new or revised software that controls/responds to current hardware and demonstrate ability to test software.
- Must have experience in analyzing solutions, estimating problem impact on mission functions and provide evaluations on the resulting solutions identified.
