As a Principal DevOps Engineer at Siteimprove, you will play a decisive role in leading the direction of the DevOps capabilities and driving the maturity of our AWS environment. Your primary responsibility will be to define the strategic roadmap and drive the design and implementation of our platform infrastructure as we level up the maturity of our platform. You will collaborate closely with software engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of services, and you will provide technical leadership of the continuous improvement and modernization efforts within the team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a modernized platform driving a large migration of workloads from a self-managed Kubernetes cluster to EKS.
What you will be doing
- Architect, implement and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure for our SaaS platform.
- Support a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to the team, and wider community.
- Evangelise DevOps practices across software engineering teams
- Implement, manage, and develop next-gen CI / CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Define business-wide DevOps strategy, integrating into Engineering teams
- Lead compliance with security best practices and industry standards (ISO27001 / FedRAMP).
- Responsible for strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with established goals.
- Act as a subject matter expert on DevOps best practices with infrastructure as code, scaling, and compliance

The annual salary for this position ranges from $130,200 to $171,600, based on experience and qualifications. The targeted annual salary for this role is $155,300 .
