Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. A strong understanding of vehicle operation, including manual transmission, and experience with pallet jacks is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, including vans and trucks.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in good condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery times.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Navigate routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules.
- Communicate any issues or delays promptly to management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with local roads and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as required.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
