Position Overview
Our Nursery Specialists help achieve world-class nursery performance while contributing to and supporting the overall branch strategy, performance, and growth.
What You’ll Do
- Pull orders and assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
- Familiarize yourself and other yard associates with nursery stock
- Replenish or move product within the nursery yard as directed
- Use technology such as MobilePro devices to maintain effective and accurate inventory records
- Assist customers with product selection and provide additional support when needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Must have a safety-minded work ethic
- Must be customer-focused and an enthusiastic, dependable team player
- Must be technically adept and experienced learning new systems, software, and tools to drive business efficiency
- Plant identification skills preferred. Previous experience working in a nursery, greenhouse, or garden center OR studies in horticulture preferred.
- Conversational Spanish skills a plus. Must also be able to read, write, and understand English
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
