As a part of our dedicated team, the Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all company-owned equipment, attachments, and trucks are maintained at adequate levels needed to meet production/distribution demand. Responsibilities include but are not limited to oil changes, diagnostics and evaluation of mechanical problems, maintenance and upkeep of the shop area, parts ordering/organization, and the recording of maintenance tasks performed.
What you’ll do:
- Perform services and repairs to company-owned equipment and vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Complete paperwork pertaining to maintenance of equipment and vehicles in a timely manner.
- Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.
- Experience with dump trucks and flat beds a plus!
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
- Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines and achieve desired goals
- Welding Certification is a plus but not required
- Must be capable of lifting up to 65 lbs
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- 1-3 years of experience in the green industry or familiarity with landscape, nursery, forestry, or irrigation products preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
