As part of our dedicated team, the Stone Fabricator is responsible for safely and effectively operating a bridge saw, power tools and hand tools specific to stone cutting and fabrication. This position also requires the ability to work with templates specific to individual projects. The Stone Fabricator performs assigned tasks while maintaining situational awareness and a level of proficiency that minimizes the risk of personal injury or property damage.

What you’ll do:

• Run skid steer to retrieve raw material and move palletized products.
• Operate splitter with assistant to maneuver pieces of raw material in position to break apart with splitter.
• Palletize finished product.
• Deliver processed stone to proper inventory locations.
• Tie off and properly tag finished pallets.
• Maintain a safe and orderly workplace per MSHA regulations.
• Band pallets of finished product using banding device.

• Will operate skid steer in a manner to move pallets of raw material from yard to automatic conveyor that feeds into splitter 2-3 hours a day.
• Will operate conveyor to move large pieces of raw material at a height of 42” and maneuver into position under splitter with use of assistant requiring a max push/pull force of 112# applied at a max height of 60” 2-3 hours/day
• Will lift off finished product dimension 4 ½” x 4” x 18” off of conveyor at 31” height, sort by color and size and stock onto pallet from height of 6” off of floor to 30” at a max weight of 90#. 22 stones per pallet, 2 pallets/day or 40-50 stones in 5 minutes.
• Will stock smaller stones weighing 40# onto pallet from 6” to 24” high, then close pallet cage, tie bundles and continue stocking stones another 18” in pallet lifting over the tope of cage sides. Maximum of 44 stones per pallet, 3 pallets per day.
• Will band pallets of finished dry wall product using banding device requiring a pull force of 75# at a height of 48”. 3-4x/day.
• Will use chipping hammer to square up pieces of finished product, done on an occasional basis.
• Will sweep and shovel debris from floor into waste container, done on occasional basis.

• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards/requirements.
• Ability to meet and maintain all qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards/requirements.
