An Ideal HVAC Service Technician would be described as having :
Perform warranty and service work to diagnose, repair, or replace broken commercial HVAC parts and equipment.
Initiate start-ups for new commercial HVAC equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe working area on every job
Adhere to safety policies and procedures including Safe driving and working habits
Utilize iPad / tablet to enter service call solutions for customer files and to acquire daily service call schedule for reviewing and planning efficient workday routes and dispatch information.
Effective communication directly with customers and coworkers
Work alongside industry experts to expand trade knowledge and experience.
Ability to problem solve when solutions to difficult problems are not readily apparent
Attention to detail
Effective verbal communication skills
Must be able to Respond to emergency maintenance requests
We ask that our techs be flexible on hours as our start times are determined by our clients.
Perform maintenance service and after-hours shutdowns when required
Provide after-hours on-call service with some flexibility (2-3 month rotation)
Ability to work independently and safely
Universal EPA Certification; HVAC technical training; additional education a plus
3 – 8 years’ experience in commercial and / or industrial HVAC equipment and systems
Line sets and Brazing techniques experience
Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics
Thorough completion of manufacturer's start-up instructions
Chiller service experience; factory training and certification a plus
Critical cooling systems experience; factory training and certifications a plus
Experience in hydronic pump systems, applications, troubleshooting and start up
Service, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all types of applied and unitary HVAC system Job Type : Full-time
Schedule : Monday to Friday
On call rotation
Overtime Experience :
HVAC : 3 years commercial / industrial HVAC experience; 1 year service preferred License / Certification :
EPA Type II (Preferred)
