Job Description
The individual in this role will provide accounting support to the General Accounting Managerand Financedepartment. The person must be willing to perform data entry/analysis in financeas support/backup. The Accountant will be part of the Finance team.
- Completion and entry of journal entries.
- Assist/perform closing activities.
- Financial Analysis support.
- Account reconciliations.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Ensure plant fixed assets and related depreciation is appropriately accounted for,including review and reporting of capital expenditure requests and spend tracking.
- Update and maintain Physical Inventory of Fixed Assets.
- Backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.
- Assist cost accountant with research/analysis.
- Other special projects and analysis as assigned by manager
Qualifications
Key/Core Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of manufacturing/aerospace experience ERP experience / Syspro experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft products especially Excel
- Shows strong knowledge of financial terms, concepts and requirements
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Detail oriented, with strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE Full use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
JOB COMPLEXITY Works on problems of moderate scope and complexity, where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
