Siter-Neubauer & Associates is currently conducting a search for Manufacturing Engineer I - Contract:
The Position is situated in a desired location. The area's perfect weather provides an average temperature of 70degrees, with four beautiful and distinct seasons, and breathtaking landscapes complete with granite mountains, lakes, streams, and rolling meadows filled with wildlife.
Primary responsibilities include providing support for problem solving of assembly/test issues through investigation and research. Experienced in manufacturing processes. This role has to be supported by Manufacturing Engineer III depending level experience and complexity of problem solving.
Job Description
Key/Core Qualifications:
- Process improvement.
- Process development and capability studies.
- FRACAS and root cause analysis in factory and supplier environments.
- Participate in design for manufacturing and production readiness reviews.
- Basic design, commission and debug process assembly/test equipment.
- Electronic component knowledge.
- Failure analysis.
- Schematic interpretation.
- Application and use of Lean Six Sigma to manufacturing environment.
- Support of, and observation of, CAC policies and procedures related to the Quality Management System, and certifications held by CAC (e.g., AS9100C, etc., NADCAP).
- Performance management and continuous improvement in: Quality Schedule Cost Managers and Leaders must comply and ensure employees comply with SHE policies and standards as issued or communicated by the Employer, including setting an example, wearing/requiring PPE, training and monitoring employees.
- Managers and Leaders are expected to support an employee in taking this action and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence, drive improvement, cooperate during investigations and take steps to make sure an attitude of compliance and safety is promoted.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Core Competencies:
- Knowledge of basic product, test equipment and fixture design
- Knowledge of industry standard assembly practices
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M tolerancing standard
- Read and understand electronic schematics and PCB assembly drawings
- Bachelor's Degree (or the equivalent combination of education and experience)and no previous professional experience
- 2 years relevant experience
- Knowledge/exposure to AS9100, FAA and ISO desired
- LEAN Six Sigma certification desired
