We are a SF family looking for a part time care giver/ para for our 22 year old daughter with an intellectual disability. She has speech delay and a cognitive impairment. She speaks, uses some signs and has an AAC device. She has no physical limitations but does need some help dressing.
We’d like someone with experience working with special needs kids to take her to local museums, the zoo, swimming, libraries etc. We want her to have fun, get exercise and work on social skills and daily living skills. We are looking for someone fun and energetic who can also set boundaries and be firm when necessary.
We would like someone who is available Tuesday and Thursday from 9-3 but we could be flexible with days. Our goal is to start an adult program part time and continue with private one to one care part time.
