You will design and implement captivating visual displays that enhance the guest experience, and drive merchandise sales across our retail locations. Your experience in visual storytelling will help create immersive environments that engage visitors and amplify the overall theme park atmosphere. We are looking for someone who is not only artistic but also possesses a strong understanding of retail strategies, brand alignment, and customer behavior. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including marketing and operations, to ensure that our visual merchandising aligns with promotional events, seasonality, and brand messaging. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment where you will need to respond quickly to changing needs and trends.

As a Visual Merchandising Specialist at Six Flags New England...

Youll contribute to our mission by :

  • Designing and executing visual merchandising strategies that align with marketing initiative and brand standards
  • Creating visually appealing displays that tell a story and enhance the overall guest experience
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to synchronize visual presentation with new product launches and seasonal events
  • Monitoring and analyzing sales performance and guest feedback to refine merchandising approaches, effectiveness, and increase sales
  • Conducting regular audits of visual merchandising standards in the stores and ensure compliance
  • Training and guiding store employees on best practices for maintaining visual merchandising standards
  • Ensuring that all merchandise displays are consistently maintained, replenished, and organized for optimal presentation
  • Ensuring signage and window displays are maintained
  • Staying updated with industry trends and competitor offerings in order to innovate and improve our visual merchandising efforts
  • Maintaining a neat, friendly, and pleasant demeanor
  • Maintaining a clean and safe sales area and work environment
  • Overseeing store setup; stocking bins, shelves, and displays with merchandise
  • Performing computerized inventory functions in APTOS
  • Counseling and assisting employees in assigned area; documents all appropriate issues
  • Assisting in other areas of the Retail Department
  • Enforcing all Six Flags New England policies
  • Performing other duties as assigned or necessary to support Six Flags New England

Youll do it with your :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in a retail or theme park environment
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of visual merchandising projects and outcomes
  • Proficient in design software as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Excellent understanding of color theory, design principles, and customer behavior
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Youll know youre ready when :

  • 18 years or older
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, working at heights, etc.
