REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Monitor and troubleshoot the Local Area Network (LAN) performance and Wide Area Network (WAN) performance.
- Provide software and hardware support for on-site operational and administrative systems, custom or third party software, and Corporate supported business systems.
- Manage and maintain schedules for seasonal staff.
- Delegate incoming work orders and deploy the Information Systems team to resolve issues efficiently.
- Work with IS Team to provide and coordinate on-site and off-site training for existing and new software/hardware.
- Provide first level end-user support for all in park and back office users.
- Monitor, coordinate, and escalate support issues as needed to the appropriate local park management, corporate and/or third party support teams.
- Ensure Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor information systems infrastructure is properly maintained and operational.
- Provide strict adherence to the corporate security policies and procedures.
- Become proficient in support of other processing platforms, architectures, and systems used by Six Flags.
- Perform System and Network Engineering Support for all park specific servers, corporate based servers and infrastructure equipment.
- Document all end user help desk calls in the Six Flags help desk system ensuring prompt response to all IS calls and work orders.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and regular audits to ensure all I.S. related equipment is functioning properly and is well maintained including Six Flags Media Networks, Menu Boards and audio hardware and software.
- Participate in status calls to review corporate initiatives and individual park needs.
- Monitor and update hardware/software inventory system, while following change management policies and procedures.
- Maintain technical proficiency in areas deemed necessary to support on-going and future operating environment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills; Aptitude to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Management Information System or a relevant IT related field.
- Knowledge of cabling infrastructure.
- Basic Knowledge of audio systems such as: Media Matrix, Cobra Net, ENCO or related hardware/software is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in systems engineering, systems support or in a technology-related industry.
- Skills in data, telecommunications, and computer programming.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holiday including extended shifts.
- Ability to walk long distances, stand for long periods, have excellent vision (corrected, if applicable), work in high places, and the ability to lift a maximum 60 lbs.
- Must be detail oriented, resourceful and self-motivated.
- Experience with fast-paced businesses (retail, restaurants) preferred.
