What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Public Safety Dispatcher position at Six Flags Over Texas?
Guest Orientation and Purpose:
- Maintain efficient communication to all personnel about departmental needs and park-wide emergencies
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Dispatches units for Security and EMS calls
- Complies with all Safety and Fire responsibilities, policies, and procedures
- Places calls to outside agencies for their assistance with park issues (Police, Fire, EMS, etc)
- Monitors the live surveillance security systems for the park
- Reports all pertinent information to Public Safety Management and Dispatch Supervisor / Lead
- Records and logs Security and EMS response in the Computer Aided Dispatch.
- Performs all duties as trained and adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and FCC regulations
- Adheres to Park Attendance Policy as stated in the Team Member Handbook
- Supervises the Park key and radio access from Security Base
- Monitors the weather systems for weather that may affect staff days
Requirements:
- Must be able to successfully obtain State of Texas Security license
- Must have a valid State driver’s license
- Must be at least 18 years
- Must be available for a varied schedule up to 29 hours per week including weekends and holidays
- Other duties as assigned
