What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiberglass Technician- Union position at Six Flags St. Louis?
JOB SUMMARY : This position is responsible for daily inspections and repair of fiberglass, padding, seatbelts, etc. on the park rides and the fiberglass, padding, netting, etc. on the water park attractions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Access all areas of equipment and ride structures for inspection and maintenance
- Mixing and application of fiberglass resins, sanding, trimming, etc. to make a finished product
- Cut out and sew patterns for ride seats
- Perform upholstery work; seat belt fabrication and installation
- Perform daily safety checks on all rides when park is in operation
- Proper handling of chemical and waste material
- Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed as well as accurate records of preventive maintenance utilizing Maximo system
- Adhere to all department and company safety policies; wear appropriate safety equipment as required
- Support the company mantra; friendly, clean, fast and safe service
