KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Speaker and Amplifier Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of speakers, amplifiers, and other audio equipment.
- Perform repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
Ride Audio Equipment and Upkeep:
- Maintain and service audio systems on various rides and attractions.
- Ensure ride audio components are functioning correctly and address any technical issues promptly.
Q-SYS Design, Programming, and Maintenance:
- Design, configure, and program Q-SYS and Media Matrix systems using Q-SYS Designer Software along with nWare to support park-wide audio distribution and control.
- Develop and implement DSP signal flows, control logic, and user interfaces for specific park applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to integrate Q-SYS systems with other park infrastructure, including IT networks, ride audio systems, and emergency notification systems.
- Conduct comprehensive testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Q-SYS systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor and maintain Q-SYS systems, applying updates, and resolving software or hardware issues as needed.
- Create detailed documentation and provide training for operational staff on the use of Q-SYS control interfaces.
General AV Support:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of AV equipment for park-wide events and functions.
- Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in audio-visual technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in audio-visual maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of speaker, amplifier, and ride audio systems.
- Advanced experience with Q-SYS Designer Software and Q-SYS programming is required, along with Media Matrix and nWare.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as Dante, AVB, and AES67, as well as QSC peripheral devices, is preferred.
- Experience working with ride audio equipment in a theme park or similar environment is a plus.
- Q-SYS Level 1 & 2 Certification preferred; advanced Q-SYS certifications are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
