Job Overview:
The Lead at Sizzler plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily restaurant operations during mid and closing shifts, under the guidance of exempt management. Candidates may be selected for this leadership position, undergoing on-the-job training to enhance management skills and leadership growth. As part of the leadership team, the Lead is an ambassador of company and brand equity standards, ensuring guest loyalty and profit maximization. They excel in guest interactions, drive profit optimization, ensure product quality, and maintain restaurant cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
Champion company culture and positively impact revenue.- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and codes of conduct.
- Uphold federal, state, and local laws, protect company assets, and ensure team member accountability.
- Assist team members in cash handling and payment processing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with liquor service, wage and hour laws, and other applicable regulations.
- Complete all record-keeping and administrative tasks directed by salaried managers.
- Support sales achievement by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
- Achieve labor and cost objectives by executing established plans.
- Optimize profit through efficient labor utilization and portioning.
- Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills, providing team member support.
- Perform front-of-house and back-of-house functions as needed, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, serving, and greeting guests.
- Motivate and lead team members to provide world-class guest experiences.
- Emphasize safety, sanitation, and security awareness, ensuring team members adhere to safe behaviors.
- Maintain food quality standards and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.
Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years of age.- Minimum 6 months of full-service restaurant experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
- Flexible availability, including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays. Reliable transportation required.
- Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
Expectations:
Ability to lift up to 10lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally.- Color and depth perception required for vision.
- Regular twisting, reaching, grasping, standing, and walking.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Basic business math and accounting skills.
- Ability to supervise peers effectively.
