Key Responsibilities
- System Installation & Troubleshooting : Install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems in restaurant facilities. Ensure systems are working efficiently, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
- Problem Identification & Resolution : Identify and fix system malfunctions, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components, through systematic troubleshooting and repair.
- Parts Replacement : Replace defective components, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and electrical parts, ensuring optimal functionality of systems.
- Tool Usage & Safety : Safely use power tools and hand tools to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities.
- Air & Water Treatment Maintenance : Maintain and monitor air and water treatment systems, ensuring they meet health and safety standards.
- Preventive Maintenance : Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems to avoid breakdowns and ensure equipment longevity.
- Technical Skills & Blueprints : Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical diagrams to understand system requirements and guide installation or repair activities.
- Electrical Systems : Understand and work with electrical systems and components, ensuring safe and efficient operation in all facilities.
- Handyman Skills : Utilize a broad skill set in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
- Problem-Solving : Diagnose issues effectively and apply the correct solutions. Recognize when repairs are outside the scope of expertise and recommend external contractors as necessary.
- Communication : Maintain clear communication with restaurant management and other tradespeople to ensure efficient resolution of facility-related issues. Build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Record Keeping : Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, invoices, and parts replaced. Maintain records of inspections and repairs for compliance and future reference.
- Driving : May require a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to travel between different restaurant locations for on-site maintenance and repairs.
- Emergency Response : Respond to urgent maintenance issues, such as HVAC failures or plumbing problems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption in restaurant operations.
