Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate behavioral needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques to support clients in achieving their goals.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to identify specific behavioral challenges and monitor progress over time.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, and family members, to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Provide training and supervision to paraprofessionals and other staff on best practices in behavioral intervention.
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of behavioral health to enhance service delivery.
Experience
- A valid certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, patient assessment, and behavioral health practices is essential.
- Experience with diagnostic evaluation and developing medical documentation is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those with various disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and data protection is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
