Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Digital Transformation
- Evaluate and improve workflows across accounting, finance, and operations departments.
- Implement automation solutions using OCR, AI, and RPA tools to reduce manual entry and streamline routine tasks.
- Collaborate with IT and leadership to assess and deploy systems that improve accuracy, scalability, and business performance.
- Ensure accuracy in data entry across AP, AR, project billing, equipment invoicing, and insurance tracking.
- Develop tools and processes to validate data integrity and eliminate errors.
- Document new workflows and support onboarding and training for system enhancements.
- Support the Sr. Business Department Specialist, Controller, and President by preparing and delivering reports tailored to operational and strategic needs.
- Generate weekly AR summaries, dashboards, and ad hoc financial reports to assist in forecasting and executive-level decision-making.
- Analyze KPIs and trends across departments and provide actionable insights in a clear and concise format.
- Create interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Support the development of financial models and tools for scenario planning, budgeting, and project forecasting.
- Consolidate data from various sources to improve visibility and tracking of business metrics.
- Work with stakeholders to test, implement, and maintain enterprise tools and process automation systems.
- Act as a liaison between business users and vendors for software configuration, troubleshooting, and user feedback.
- Promote technology adoption and serve as a go-to resource for questions related to accounting systems and digital tools.
- Track lien and bond claims, identify exposure areas, and support mitigation efforts.
- Manage internal and external COI (Certificate of Insurance) requests, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation across projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in business analysis, financial reporting, or process improvement.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools preferred.
- Python, SQL, or other computing language skills are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automation and workflow tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and convey insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
