Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Underground Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient installation of underground fiber optic cable or conduit using a vermeer ptx44 or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Operate plowing equipment/machines effectively to install fiber optic cable and conduit.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Locating previously installed underground utilities.
- Install vaults and peds.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding equipment status and any issues encountered.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating machinery and performing tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in operating Underground Plow/Trencher
- Familiarity with hand tools and maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to work long hours.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor as required.
- A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
