OVERVIEW
Automotive technology is changing dramatically and the impacts are being felt in nearly every system and component of the vehicle. In particular, vehicle electrification, the introduction of higher levels of autonomy and shifts in vehicle architectures are driving changes to the role and requirements of low voltage energy storage systems. It has become critical to engage with a broad set of stakeholders in the definition of vehicle systems, power distribution and functional safety for the next generation of vehicles.
Clarios is searching for a dynamic technical leader with deep experience in wide range of topics including vehicle architecture, power conversion and system integration to help guide our engagement with key customers and shape the specifications for future products.
Job Title: Software Manager
Job Summary: This position is responsible for software development and execution for the next generation product utilizing Clarios Advanced technology. The position will lead a software team to define the software architecture and base/application software development, integration. This position provides strategic leadership to software engineering team, ensuring project success and fostering innovation & manage software projects and resources supports timely and high-quality product delivery. Software manager also plays pivotal role in team collaboration, skill development, and continuous improvement.
This position is sitting in China, serving global product development and business growth.
Report to: Product & Partnership in CTO office
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the development BMS /CMS software requirement specification and software functions for next generation product.
- Lead the SW modelling development per corresponding software detailed design.
- Lead the team for the software trouble shooting and debugging “ hands on”
- Working with Semiconductor partner to align the next Chip generation with software development.
- Lead and contribute to design reviews, test plans, and requirements reviews to further optimize the vehicle electrification systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders in CTO office, global product line, business development and corporate strategy as to jointly develop the leading technology in the market.
- Contribute to software partnership assessment and forming.

Travel: 15%
Education/Professional Knowledge
- Master in Computer Science, Software, automotive engineering.
- 10 years working experience in Automotive Software area.
- Track record of a team leadership and software package development for the customer execution program.
- Expertise of software modelling eg. MATLAB/Simulink or similar, programming language.
- Experience of AutoSAR and ISO26262 and functional safety
- Familiar with BMS systems and related industry standard.
- Excellent Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills both internally and externally and team work spirit.
