Sr. Engineer, Base Software

Job Summary: This position is responsible for base software development and execution for the next generation product utilizing Clarios Advanced technology.  The position will serve as a key team member of  software team to define the software architecture and base/application software development, integration.

 This position is sitting in China, serving global product development and business growth.

Report to: Software Manager

Key Job Responsibilities: 

• Lead the development BMS /CMS  base software and software integration for next generation product.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code( modelling based preferred) in a variety of progamming languages.
• Lead the SW modelling development per corresponding software detailed design.
• Test and debug base software to ensure it meets the quality standards.
• Documenting code and process for future reference.
• Update/ Modify base software code to  up to date  the latest MCU application in BMS and DSP
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to application software/ integration and electronics hardware.
• Collaborate with stakeholders  in CTO office, global product line, business development and corporate strategy  as to jointly develop the leading technology  in the market.

Travel: 15%

Education/Professional Knowledge

• Master in Computer Science, Software, automotive engineering.
• 5  years working experience in Automotive Software area.
• Track record of  base software development for project launch.
• Expertise of   base software modelling eg. MATLAB/Simulink or similar, programming language as C, C , Java, Python.
• Knowledge of automotive sommunication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Understand the cybersecurity principles and best practice.
• Familiar with embedded system and real time operation system.
• Experience of AutoSAR and ISO26262 and functional safety
• Familiar with BMS systems and related industry standard.
• Excellent Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
