We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead our dynamic marketing team at SJC Cultural Events, Inc. This role is instrumental in driving ticket sales, strengthening brand equity, enhancing audience engagement, and supporting the long-term success of our concerts, festivals, and community initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is highly effective at managing people and processes. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the marketing department and ensuring seamless execution across all campaigns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct the daytoday operations of the Marketing Department staff, including Marketing Managers and Marketing Coordinators, ensuring the department runs efficiently by managing task delegation, timelines, and priorities.
- Develop and oversee strategic marketing and advertising campaigns across all brands and events, ensuring alignment with business goals and brand identity, while evaluating effectiveness and making datadriven improvements.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and highperforming environment with clear performance metrics and accountability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners—including artists, agents, sponsors, and community stakeholders—to ensure cohesive messaging, visuals, and strong event support across all channels.
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Content Manager to conceptualize and execute compelling social media campaigns that elevate brand awareness and embody our brand essence: Authenticity, Never Compromised.
- Develop and manage specialty marketing initiatives including merchandise promotions, seasonal sales, and other creative brandforward campaigns.
- Support PR initiatives and media relations in partnership with the Director of Public Relations, including show announcements, crisis communications, and stakeholder outreach.
- Apply innovative approaches and technologies to keep marketing strategies ahead of industry trends and aligned with fan expectations.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement processes to streamline marketing operations, improve efficiency, and enhance campaign execution.
- Dayofshow event coverage and onsite duties as needed.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position supervises the Marketing Department, including Marketing Managers and Marketing Coordinators.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for daytoday marketing needs, enabling the Chief Marketing & Public Relations Officer to focus on strategic planning, external partnerships, and highlevel initiatives.
- Responsible for performance reviews, interviewing, coaching, and daily management of team duties.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Passion for the music industry, and a familiarity with the cultural scene in St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra, Florida.
- Experience with graphic design, photography, and/or video editing is a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, related field or equivalent years of experience required.
- A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience, with 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role required.
- Experience in music, events, or live entertainment is strongly preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

TRAVEL
