JOB TITLE: Drum Builder

STATUS: Full Time M-Thur 7-5:30

LOCATION: Southbridge, MA

Position Role

SJC Drums Massachusetts based headquarters is seeking a full time drum builder to join our team. We’re looking for a dedicated individual who is driven, willing to learn and thrives in a creative team environment. The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously is a must. We are a small company and we wear many hats, but it sure is fun building drums for some of the biggest artist in the business. Successful candidates will have prior experience in building high quality drum sets (will consider cabinet or furniture making experience) and have a keen eye for quality .Detail oriented with a high desire to deliver quality products to our customers.

Manufacturing qualifications

General Woodworking and Carpentry

• Finish Carpentry
• Furniture Building Techniques
• Joinery
• Routing
• Sanding

Drum Building

• Shell Cutting & Sanding
• Shell Wrapping (Drum Wrap & Laminate)
• Edging & Drilling
• Paint & Finishing
• Paint Prep
• High Gloss / Satin / Stains / UV Coatings
• Basic Shop Math & Geometry
• Layouts for wrap and drilling

Assembly

• Hand dexterity
• Inventory control
• Ability to follow spec sheet

Basic Shop Management Skills

• Inventory management and parts picking
• Work effectively and collaboratively with management, sales and marketing, and artist relations teams
• Basic Computer Literacy
• Shop organization and maintenance of equipment
• Other tasks and duties as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
