As our Design Engineering Manager, you will lead our Design Engineering and CAD Teams in the development and delivery of automated water and wastewater control systems. This role focuses on providing strong leadership, ensuring quality work, and meeting customer specifications while fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement across teams. This position will work at our Ashland, OH location.
The job:
Every day you will provide positive leadership, supervision, and development to ensure the successful design and delivery of automated control systems and engineered panels that meet customer specifications, electrical codes, and company standards. You will organize and delegate tasks, oversee employee onboarding, training, and performance reviews, and ensure policies and procedures are followed. You will coordinate efforts across departments and locations, monitor operational performance, and champion initiatives like Lean principles and workload sharing. Additionally, you will support sales efforts with labor estimates and provide project signoffs to maintain quality and efficiency.
The skills you need:
To thrive in this job, you should enjoy being a leader, solving problems and working in a team. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, UL 508A, automation controls and experience in the water/wastewater industry along with a 4-year Electrical Engineering degree or related field with a minimum of 4 years’ experience is preferred.
