What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Support Specialist position at SJE?
What you will do:
As our Engineering Support Specialist, you will help the Operations, Development, Sourcing, and Product Management Teams by maintaining and controlling documentation and updating related information in the company’s MRP system. You will support the team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded for our products that help control and monitor one of the world’s most valuable and limited resources– Water! This position works in our Detroit Lakes, MN location.
The job:
Every day, your primary role will be updating and sharing import and export documents and inputting information into our MRP/ERP system. You will be responsible for ECO management. You will maintain configuration control of products in the system and create and sustain supporting documents (schematics, drawings, etc.), literature, and labels to support production.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must have attention to detail, excellent communication skills and be able to work with various disciplines and teams. You should have an aptitude for technical writing and improving product and/or process documentation. Experience working with spreadsheets, MRP systems, CAD, and Publishing is preferred. You must possess time management skills, be able to work on multiple projects at a time and work independently as well as with a team. A 2-year degree with an emphasis in Technical Writing or Documentation and 5 years of experience is preferred.
