What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCB Assembler position at SJE?
What you will do:
As our PCB Assembler, you will help the Operations Teams by accurately and efficiently performing a wide variety of electronic assembly operations on more advanced circuit boards and sub-assemblies. You will need to function as a versatile assembler in areas of component prep, through-hole board stuffing, touch up and inspection, light mechanical value-add assembly, and hand soldering of through hole and surface mount components. This position works in our New Hope, MN location.
The job:
Every day, your primary role will be to perform a variety of tasks to produce quality products utilizing bills of material, travelers, drawings, and work instructions. You will monitor and maintain high quality assembled products while meeting or exceeding production standards and provide training to team members and coach co-workers on the importance of quality workmanship to produce quality products. You will also learn process steps to run and maintain equipment in the SMT work center to assist the primary SMT operator when requested and perform required process control procedures and document as required.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must have soldering skills and 2-5 years of experience performing electronic assembly on circuit boards. You must have the ability to understand and safely operate applicable machines and equipment as well as a desire to produce quality products.
