Summary
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or product to be moved.
2. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets racks, and shelves by hand or with a lift truck.
3. Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, or stretch wrapping, to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
4. Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
5. Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
6. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved.
7. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information pallets, and other containers.
8. Loads trucks for shipping of product.
9. Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
10. Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.
11. Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
12. Moves raw materials to assist in loading of production machinery.
13. Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products from delivery trucks.
14. Other job duties to be performed a necessary.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
