SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a Cleanroom Certification Specialist supporting possible operations within local federal medical facilities in Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY.

Responsibilities:
- Perform Viable Environmental Sampling for microorganisms (Bacterial/Fungal counts with ID’s).
- Conduct Dynamic smoke testing in Containment Primary Engineering Control (C-PEC) Equipment to include smoke testing within the equipment while pharmacy personnel simulate processes within the equipment.
- Provide a comprehensive certification report containing summary of results, measured/calculated data, and recommendations.
- Environmental wipe sampling for hazardous drug (HD) surface residue shall be performed semiannually as outlined by USP 800.
- Perform a gowning and garbing evaluation for each employee in conjunction with the gloved fingertip and thumb sampling and media-fill test.
- perform differential pressure certification as designated as needed depending on facility requirements for ante rooms, buffer rooms and clean rooms.
- Perform annual testing, certification, and preventive maintenance on biological safety cabinets (BSCs) and chemical fume hoods in compliance with NSF/ANSI 49, OSHA, and AIHA/ANSI Z9.5-2003 standards.
- Conduct inflow velocity profiling, face velocity testing (ASHRAE 110 methodology), and HEPA filter performance checks.
- Ensure proper calibration of self-monitoring devices and equipment instrumentation.
- Install high-visibility “Out of Service” notifications on non-compliant units; work with COR to coordinate remediation.
- Document all certifications, including velocity readings and equipment status, and affix appropriate service labels on certified equipment.
- Identify and address contamination risks in alignment with best practices in Industrial Hygiene.
- Coordinate closely with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and VA facilities management to schedule testing and maintenance activities.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting and adherence to safety and industrial hygiene regulations.
Qualifications:
- CETA National Board of Testing (CNBT) certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
