Role and Responsibilities :
Initiate TPM Activities
- Lead the development, rollout, and implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and manufacturing strategies.
Manufacturing Innovation
Drive the adoption of innovative manufacturing practices using TPM principles, as well as tools like Six Sigma, Lean, TQM and Continuous Improvement methodology.Identify and implement cutting-edge solution that improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance production quality.Team Leadership & Development
Build, lead, and mentor high-performing TPM team, developing a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.Provide training and guidance of TPM principles and tools.Set and Monitor KPIs
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for TPM activities, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), downtime reduction, and defect rates. Regularly monitor and report progress against goals.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, operations, production, and quality teams to implement TPM activities and foster collaboration in improving equipment reliability, safety, and productivity.Root Cause Analysis & Problem-Solving
Conduct detailed root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns and failures, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Lead efforts in problem-solving using techniques like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).Continuous Improvement Culture
Promote and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, leveraging TPM, Lean Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive efficiency, quality, and cost savings.Reporting & Communication
Regularly report on TPM activates, progress, and results to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve performance.Develop Maintenance Strategies
Optimize maintenance processes, establish preventative maintenance schedules, and introduce predictive maintenance practices to ensure equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.Other tasks as assignedSkill and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science major field or equivalent; advanced degree preferredMinimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Innovation such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Lean Production, TPS / TQM, or related roles within the automotive manufacturing sector.Proven experience in initiating and leading Manufacturing Innovation activities from the ground up, ideally in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment.Relevant certification in manufacturing innovation methodologies (e.g. TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma), or equivalentPrior experience in a leadership role within maintenance or operations managementDemonstrated ability to build and lead teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovationExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.In-depth knowledge of equipment reliability , preventative maintenance and downtime reduction strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams teams and leadershipProject Management ability to manage multiple priorities, drive change, and lead continuous improvement effortsExperience with advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation, robotics, and smart factory systems.Familiarity with Automotive Industry Standards and quality systems such as ISO / TS 16949, IATF 16949, and related manufacturing best practices.Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is requiredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)Preferred) Proficiency with AutoCAD, Minitab, or similar programs with strong data analysis skills.
