Lead and supervise Production and Sanitation functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all Operations on shift.
- Provide leadership in inventory control, quality assurance, ERP system 'X3', and purchasing.
- Communicate effectively with subordinates, peers, and supervisors.
- Manage staff for consistent performance with predictable results.
- Review performance metrics and make improvements.
- Work with support departments to improve safety, food safety, quality, purchasing, accounting, training, and Human Resources.
- Support Food Safety improvement initiatives.
- Review daily production schedule for effective labor utilization.
- Manage department budgets and hourly labor wage.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of products.
- Control product waste and adjust if necessary.
- Monitor production line flow for product safety and yields.
- Ensure work orders meet quality and scheduling requirements.
- Maintain Production areas for required sanitation.
- Audit employee time sheets and ensure proper clock-in/clock-out.
- Plan/schedule next day's production run with subordinates.
- Experience with SQF, AIB, GFSI, etc.
- Guide and mentor subordinates in food safety programs and GMPs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position supervises several subordinate Supervisors and Hourly associates on shift.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, and four years of management-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
- Previous Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- HACCP or SQF certification is recommended.
- Leadership and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of SPC, Control Charts, Lean Manufacturing.
