Lab Technician II

The Lab Technician II will provide analytical chemistry support to multiple projects in accordance with company SOPs and protocols following GMP guidelines to support plant operations. Works under general supervision. This position is NOT remote or hybrid.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Under close supervision, perform chemistry assignments that are routine in nature.
• Assists with physical or chemical testing processes.
• Assists in preparation for lab data collection.
• Sample and Standard management including receipt, logging, disposal, and storage
• Maintain inventory for consumables and reagents, ordering and restocking as necessary.
• May perform mathematical calculations.
• Cleans glassware and keeps laboratory organized.
• Dispose of inert and hazardous wastes.
• Stock basic laboratory consumables.
• Perform routine instrument cleaning and logbook verification.
• Assist with quality assessment of packaging materials and basic consumables such as measuring physical dimensions, counting, and inspecting for visible debris/damage.
• Perform sample log-in, ordering, data scanning, filing, and trending.
• May develop improvements to laboratory support procedures.
  
  

Education And Experience

• GED, HS Diploma required, BS degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 year of industry related experience (with GED or HS Diploma).
