We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of industrial equipment, including tractor-trailers. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues effectively and implement solutions efficiently. The Senior Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet.
- Perform diesel mechanic work on all makes of diesel trucks with efficiency and in accordance with required standards.
- Perform diesel mechanic diagnostics.
- Perform duties including time, labor and materials estimates for all repairs.
- Continuously learn new technical information & techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
- Inspect, test and diagnose equipment & record keeping so that necessary repairs can be made and DOT compliance is kept.
- Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner as required.
- Perform repairs / maintenance on plant equipment, including production equipment as necessary.
- CDL license with clean driving record and current medical card.
