We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role is crucial in maintaining an organized and productive warehouse environment while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and cherry pickers, to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize a warehouse management system for tracking inventory and managing order picking processes.
- Perform heavy lifting and move pallets using pallet jacks as required.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily operational goals.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience operating stand up forklifts in a warehouse setting is required.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking processes.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation, including but not limited to clamp trucks and cherry pickers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed, with a focus on safety practices.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or order picker is a plus but not required.
