We are seeking a positive, fun, motivated and experienced Store Manager to work alongside the owners to oversee daily operations at our family owned Convenience Store and Deli/Grill. We have been voted by the Citizen’s Tribune Readers for Best Breakfast, Best Catfish, Best Burger and Best Convenience Store for 2024!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of shift leaders, cashiers and cooks, organizing weekly schedules, overseeing inventory and ordering all products and ensuring exceptional customer service and food quality. This person is responsible for hands-on kitchen management including following recipes and cooking meals, following food safety guidelines, proper food handling and ensuring that our award winning recipes are made with fidelity. This person, along with shift leaders, is responsible for cash handling, daily deposits, and POS shift and daily reports.
This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team and hold them accountable all while maintaining a positive work environment.
Duties
- Assist the store owner/operators in management of all store operations from forecourt to back office.
- Manage the daily operations of the kitchen/deli/grill.
- Manage shift schedules and delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and manage replenishment processes.
- Utilize POS systems for transaction processing and reporting while ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere for customers by maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation.
Experience
- Proven experience in Convenience Store/Deli/Grill Management or as an Assistant Manager with a track record of success.
- Strong understanding of inventory control processes and retail math principles.
- Experience in training development and team leadership within a retail environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and their operational functionalities is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations quickly.
- Experience with fuel sales and lotto/lottery sales is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
