Position Overview:
Skai is seeking an experienced Vice President to lead our Retail Media and Commerce initiatives, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. This is the senior Product leadership role in the market and is pivotal in shaping our product vision, strategy, and execution across the commerce media landscape. The VP will manage a team of Directors, oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to market release, and cultivate strategic partnerships to drive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
● Product Strategy
○ Lead Skai’s product strategy in Commerce, bringing market experience and the customer's voice.
○ Evolve the commerce Strategy and lead the execution.
● Retail Media and Commerce Leadership:
○ Lead Skai’s retail media and commerce products, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of clients and the market.
○ Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Skai’s retail media and commerce solutions.
○ Drive innovation and maintain Skai’s leadership position in the retail media space.
● Team Leadership:
○ Manage and mentor VPs and Directors of product, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
○ Lead cross-functional teams through all stages of the product lifecycle.
● Product Lifecycle Management:
○ Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation, strategy, development, and market release.
○ Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet market needs and drive business growth.
● Partnership Management:
○ Identify and nurture strategic partnerships to enhance Skai’s product offerings.
○ Collaborate with external partners to drive co-innovation and joint go-to-market strategies.
● Industry Expertise:
○ Marketing and Media Management:
■ Deep understanding of marketing strategies and media management, with a proven track record in leading successful media campaigns.
○ Demand-Side Platforms (DSP):
■ Expertise in DSP operations and the ability to leverage these platforms to optimize retail media performance.
○ Artificial Intelligence (AI):
■ Familiarity with AI-driven solutions in marketing and media, and the ability to integrate AI technologies into product offerings.
○ Retail Media Landscape:
■ Comprehensive knowledge of the retail media ecosystem, including emerging trends and best practices.
○ Preferably, experience from the media side of companies like Amazon, Walmart, or Target.
Qualifications:
● Proven track record as a senior executive in product and strategy roles in the media industry, with experience at major retailers or tech innovators.
● Strong leadership skills, with a history of managing and developing high-performing teams.
● Extensive experience in product lifecycle management and a deep understanding of the retail media landscape.
● Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
● Excellent communication and partnership management skills.
● Client-facing skills as well as proven thought leadership
The annual salary range for this position is $230,000-250,000. The actual salary will vary depending on the applicants experience, skills and abilities as well as internal equity and market data. This position is also eligible for additional quarterly bonus compensation through one of Skai’s highly attractive incentive plans and equity, full details will be provided during the recruitment process.
