What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Machine Learning Engineer position at Skale?
Skale are partnering with an LLM-driven startup in the publishing space. They're working on agentic AI, with the aim to solve the issue of how brands and creators can control their content. They're developing technology to address how people consume information.
They have an impressive team, have raised a significant seed round from tier 1 investors, with Founders who have had multiple previous successful exits.
We're looking for a Machine Learning Engineer (senior to principal level), with experience working on core NLP problems in search, personalisation and ads. Experience fine tuning and training large language models is great. This role is hybrid in New York.
You'll need :
- Bachelors or above in Computer Science, Maths or similar
- 3 years hands on experience as an ML Engineer or Applied Scientist
- Deep experience within NLP, ideally with knowledge of fine-tuning large language models
- Experience working on problems such as recommendations, search and personalization, ranking and advertising
