Overview:
Are you a hospitality professional with a passion for delivering seamless and memorable events? As a Banquet Captain, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our banquets and events exceed expectations. You will oversee banquet servers, housemen, and event logistics, working closely with the Banquet Manager to uphold our high standards and maximize guest satisfaction.
From coordinating room and facility setups to ensuring impeccable food and beverage service, your leadership will be instrumental in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love bringing events to life, we want you on our team!
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee Banquet Operations: Supervise banquet servers, housemen, and ensure all setups and service details meet event specifications.
- Lead & Train Staff: Assign tasks, provide coaching, and ensure team members are prepared to deliver top-tier service.
- Coordinate Event Logistics: Organize banquet spaces, review event orders, and liaise with the kitchen and event planners.
- Ensure Smooth Execution: Monitor staff performance, address challenges in real time, and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Maintain Organization: Oversee inventory, cleanliness, and proper storage of banquet equipment and supplies.
- Manage Event Flow: Conduct pre-event meetings, oversee seating arrangements, and ensure timely food and beverage service.
- Administrative Responsibilities: Complete necessary paperwork, function reports, and address maintenance concerns as needed.
- Maintain High Standards: Enforce hotel policies, procedures, and service quality standards.

Paid Time Off – The Longer You Stay, The More You Earn!

- First Year: 88 hours per year (120 max)
- 1-5 Years: 128 hours per year (160 max)
- 5-10 Years: 168 hours per year (200 max)
- 10 Years: 208 hours per year (240 max)

Competitive Pay & Flexible Schedules
- $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Shifts available 365 days a year – mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
What You Bring to the Team:
- At least two years of job-related experience in banquets or event management
- Leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks and manage staff performance
- Strong organizational abilities to coordinate event details and oversee banquet logistics
- Excellent problem-solving skills to adapt to challenges and ensure smooth event execution
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high service standards
- Physical stamina to perform job duties, including setting up event spaces and overseeing staff
- Technical knowledge of banquet service requirements and event planning procedures
- Strong guest service and communication skills to ensure a seamless experience for event attendees
Required Licenses & Certifications:
- Washington State Food Worker’s Card
- M.A.S.T. (Mandatory Alcohol Server Training) Card
- Valid Driver’s License
- Certification in CPR/First Aid
