Overview:
Your Role:
This is a dynamic position supporting the General Manager (GM) at Skamania Lodge. You'll work closely with the GM and leadership team, helping execute priorities and initiatives that enhance our operations, guest experience, and team culture. You'll play a key part in communication, coordination, and creative programming aligned with our brand's vision of adventure, wellness, and local engagement.
You’ll also be responsible for supporting internal operations and marketing efforts, as well as designing and managing engaging guest activities and events. This is a highly collaborative and fast-paced role that requires excellent communication, a strong sense of initiative, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with hotel general manager on delegated priorities.
  • Work with other executive leaders and team members to get important information for GM.
  • Communicate with teams as directed by GM.
  • Manage schedules where appropriate, set up GM meetings.
  • Attend Operations Meeting and create follow notes for the entire team.
  • Understand confidentiality in working in GM office.
  • Attend appropriate marketing meetings for idea generation and execution
  • Design, implement, and manage guest activities and events that align with Skamania Lodge’s brand and guest expectations,
  • Work with the team to curate seasonal and year-round programs focused on our brand and may include a focus on wellness adventure, entertainment, and local culture.
  • Partner with local business, artisans, and wellness professionals to create unique and immersive guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote guest programming via digital and on-site channels.
  • Manage program budgets, including pricing strategies and cost control.
  • Track and report revenues generated from programming events, continuously work to improve revenue generation from programming.
  • Monitor guest engagement and satisfaction, using feedback to continuously improve offerings.
  • Coordinate logistics for group activities, workshops and special events.
  • Train and oversee staff involved in executing guest programs.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain updates to programming language on company website, update as needed
  • Prepare SOPs for program roll outs
  • Make content, programming & marketing updates to websites as directed.
  • Communicate with Design Team on assigned Marketing/Programing projects and timelines
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding deadlines on projects, ex: F&B, seasonal guides, posters, display boards
  • Acquire and work with outside Brand partners
Compensation
$25.00 - $25.00 / hour

PTO Accrual
Our generous PTO plan includes flexible holiday time and grows with tenure:
  • Hire to 1 Year: 88 hours/year, 120 max (.04231 x all hours paid)
  • 1 to <5 Years: 128 hours/year, 160 max (.06154)
  • 5 to <10 Years: 168 hours/year, 200 max (.08077)
  • 10 Years: 208 hours/year, 240 max (.10000)
Schedule
This position has flexibility but will require some work on weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:
What we're looking for:
  • 3 years of experience in Hospitality. Guest Engagement, or Event Programming.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Recreation Management, Event Planning, or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt programs based on guest needs and trends.
  • Experience managing budgets and tracking program performance.
  • Knowledge of outdoor activities, wellness trends and local cultural experience is a plus.
  • Understands confidentiality is essential for maintaining trust, protecting privacy and ensuring sensitive information is kept private.

Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $25.00/Hr. - $25.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
