Must be able to process transactions, sign up customers for Ace Rewards, and encourage customers to take our survey.

Ability to work 15-30 hours a week. Weekends are a must, we ask that every associate including the store manager work one weekend day. Our store is open from 7:30am to 7pm most days and shifts can vary in that time frame and seasonal hours can apply.

Summary

As a Cashier, you will be essential in delivering excellent customer service and managing transactions efficiently. Reporting to the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, your core skills in cash handling, retail sales, and basic math will ensure accurate processing of payments. Your premium skills in POS systems and merchandising will enhance the shopping experience, while your communication skills will foster positive interactions with customers. With relevant experience in a hardware store setting, you will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere and help maintain stock levels, ensuring a smooth operation in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
• Maintain an organized checkout area and restock merchandise as needed.
• Utilize basic math skills to process sales and manage cash handling.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and effective merchandising.
• Answer incoming calls, provide customers with solutions and transfer calls

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
