Position Overview
General Position Summary The Warehouse Stop Labor position is one that works to fill orders placed by all jobsites, while also checking in returned tools/material. The intent is for this employee to work into a hybrid purchasing/shop labor roll.
Job Description
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Building work orders for job sites
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Ensures all tools are inspected before sent to jobs, as well as when returned from job.
- Loads/Unloads trucks for deliveries to/from job sites.
- Unloads boxes and inspects tools before being put back in their proper place.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results asneeded
- Generate PO's using our online system.
- Coordinate with appropriate personnel to determine if any items of procurement are available from inventory (if applicable)
- Independently research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution and using sound judgment make recommendations for the same
- Purchase tools, material & equipment from various vendors to fill order requests.
- Develop relationships with the vendors you are using.
- Monitor shipments to ensure goods for schedule and that they arrive on time and resolve problems or issues related to undelivered goods

- High School Diploma/GED
- Flexible to work extended hours as needed and weekends on occasion
- Be able to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Purchasing background Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor's degree relating to the Construction Industry
- Warehouse Experience a plus
Work Environment/Job Conditions/Physical Requirements
- This job occurs mainly inside a warehouse which does get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Fans/overhead heaters are in place to control as best as possible.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will be asked to sit at desk for extended periods of time while using the computer.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock where employee must utilize the proper personal protective equipment and/or other safeguards for their protection. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
