As an Employee Relations and Compliance Manager, you are joining a team where growth, workforce relations, fashion, and comfort are at the core. In this role, you will engage with all members of the distribution center workforce, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the success of this facility's operation by giving employee compliance guidance and fostering a safe and reliable environment to work. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Must have worked in HR disciplines, such as : recruitment, hiring, employee relations, wage and hour laws, minor employment regulations, and federal compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

  • Stay up to date : Monitor and keep current with federal, state, and local labor regulations.
  • Create and maintain policies : Develop and update policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance : Advise the organization on compliance matters and partner with legal counsel when needed. Skilled in delivering compliance updates and project reports to senior leaders and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Conduct audits : Review HR processes and systems to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct investigations : manage the investigation process which includes information gathering, documentation support, recommending resolutions and outcomes. Help implement disciplinary action plans, the first step corrective action process, including but not limited to performance improvement plans.
  • Manage Program Development and Training : develop and facilitate training on related compliance policies and procedures. Coordinate and process regulatory reports, such as but not limited to : EEO-1, FTZ, and VETS-4212
  • Manage onboarding : Ensure compliance with onboarding requirements, such as ensuring submission of any necessary background checks, along with handling E-Verify and I-9 documentation.
  • Support offboarding : Coordinate with the business partners on offboarding / termination requirements, exit interview process, including assisting the business partners in sending out interviews, conducting exit interviews, and gathering completed interviews. Responsible for reporting on terminations.
  • Partnerships : Work in collaboration with any relevant policy, compliance, and HRBP partners.
  • Manage leave : Monitor medical or personal leave requests and eligibility to ensure compliance.
  • Manage workers' compensation : Administer workers' compensation claims, monitor leave durations, and ensure compliance documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of labor laws, compliance requirements, and audit processes
  • Excellent project management and collaborative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate ability to lead projects and foster professional collaboration.
  • Proven track record in managing vendor relationships to support and drive compliance initiatives.
  • Previous experience within the HR compliance and employee relations space
  • Previous experience in the retail and consumer goods industry is a plus, but not required
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is required; PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in HR Compliance, Employment Law, or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience implementing processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • 3 years of managing program or project experience with direct reports, cross-functional peers, and / or stakeholders.
  • 3 years of HR experience with a focus on U.S. right-to-work regulations
  • 3 years of investigation work experience in a high volume, high-paced warehouse environment.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish (Verbal and Written)
  • 100k-$145k / Annually

    Salary : $100,000 - $145,000
