JOB SUMMARY:
Performs any combination of various tasks to insure assembly of the finished product is correct and finished product is working properly.
JOB DUTIES:
- Install wiring and wiring systems, consoles, steering wheels, leather seats, doors, water hoses, live wells, lights, and other components into and on boats
- Read instructions, work orders and drawings on a regular basis
- Use carpet knives to cut carpet to place on deck and hulls of boats and doors
- Use utility knives, air-powered drills, screwdrivers, grinders, mini-saws, staplers, and pop rivet guns to install necessary parts
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Any other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good mechanical aptitude and a comfort level around hand tools
- Ability to perform walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling for 10 hours a day
- Flexible to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. multiple times throughout the day
- Ability to work in heat
- Ability to work around dust, chemical, and fiberglass particles
- Strong manual dexterity and coordination
- Use of air powered hand tools for 8 hours per day
- Ability and willingness to follow instructions accurately
Starting pay is $18.56
This position is 1st shift Monday-Thursday, hours are 6am - 4:30pm.
