You will work as part of a team to make final products…FISHING BOATS!
Painter/Gelcoat Duties:
- Read work orders to check for color to be applied in which area
- Assure proper taping ahs been performed
- Use of air and airless bulk spray guns and hand pot spray gun to apply gel coat and/or flake to molds in required thickness
- Move boat molds and/or small parts in and out of gel coat booth
- Clean and maintain spray equipment and keep in proper working order
- Clean and maintain spray booth
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to wear full face or half mask respirator when spraying
- Ability to work early morning hours (5:00 AM) and flexible hours
- Work overtime as needed
- Ability to perform walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling for 10 hours
- Understand the purpose of and how to use a mil-gauge
- Be able to read and write English
- Manual dexterity
- Have good quality habits
- Have good attendance habits
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Color sensitivity
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a hot environment
