Skender is currently seeking entry level Project Engineers to join our talented group of employees upon graduation in the spring of 2025.

Responsibilities

A Project Engineer at Skender is responsible for supporting the project team in an effort to secure a successful project completion. An ideal candidate will be able to maintain progress schedules, change order requests, and project documents. Responsibilities also include field related functions to assist the superintendent as assigned by the project manager.

  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, progress payments, and change orders
  • Review contract documents for submittal requirements
  • Submit shop drawings and samples of all permanent materials and equipment to the architect or engineer
  • Review materials during installation to verify compliance with the contract documents and report discrepancies promptly to project management
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute various document control entities, including : submittals, RFIs, drawings / specifications, meeting minutes, punchlist / closeout, and issue logs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawing, and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline
  • Candidates must have solid problem-solving skills, excellent people skills, and strong written and oral communication
  • Experience utilizing Lean philosophies and those who embody an entrepreneurial spirit are advantages for this role
