Senior Software Engineer, Web

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications for a variety of clients. You should be comfortable working on both frontend and backend development while maintaining high standards of code quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive and high-performance websites and web applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues across various projects.
• Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility for all web projects.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to translate ideas into functional digital experiences.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.
• Contribute to team discussions and share knowledge to enhance overall team efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of core web technologies: HTTP, HTML, CSS, and Web APIs.
• Demonstrable experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks (React, NextJS or Vue.js).
• Exposure to automated testing libraries like Playwright, Vitest, React Testing Library
• Familiarity with build tools and linters like Vite, Turbo, ESLint, Prettier
• Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs
• Understanding of SEO principles and web performance optimization
• Experience with Git and version control workflows
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• You are an advocate for improving web accessibility
• You have experience in Web Design, Visual Design, UI/UX, or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Firebase, Vercel, etc.)
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or Contentful
