Summary : Â
The quality inspector / assembler supports SKF by performing visual, measurement, and assembly on bearing components.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Verifies incoming documentation matches information on bearing components.
Visuals components using required scribes and magnification both before and after repair.
Measures components using required measuring devices and tooling.
Determines acceptance or rejection of components.
Provides machine operators with information on material removal.
Performs identification etchings on bearings using air pencil.
Ensures that the inspection tools and equipment are in proper working order and the proper calibration affixed before use
Understands the current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the articles being inspected
Actively supports companyâs 5S activities
Follows all plant safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Capable of using Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to read / write / speak English
Ability to work independently in a high stress environment
Special Requirements :
Candidate must be able to use calipers, micrometers, and other gages to measure bore, outer diameter, and other dimensions as required

Small amounts of machine noise.
