Lift Attendant
Reports to: Lift Supervisor, Lift Manager
Job Purpose: To operate and maintain all ski area lifts, both chair and surface, with safety being the foremost priority, while also offering a positive guest experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operate lifts safely and efficiently according to all policies and procedures. *
· Maintain all operational aspects of the lift such as ramps, signs, padding, etc. *
· Assist customers, as necessary, in loading and unloading safely. *
· Operate assigned station at the highest safety standard and report any charges or disrepair immediately to the lift or operations manager. *
· Maintain a clean work environment.
· Maintain all required records of lift operations.
· Greet and interact with customers effectively to create a positive experience.
· Maintain proper casual professional appearance (as determined by management) at all times.
· Be aware of all safety, payroll, and workers comp. policies.
· Be committed to customer service.
Qualifications:
· Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Must have a complete understanding, after training and testing, of the mechanical principles of the lift and all emergency procedures in order to ensure safety.
· Must be proficient and professional in interacting with the general public, face-to-face.
· Must feel comfortable leading and delegating among a group of their peers.
· Must be punctual, meticulous, and reliable.
Working Conditions:
· Outdoors, in possible extreme weather conditions. *
· Fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand for an extended period of time. *
· Must be able to lift heavy objects. *
· Possess suitable clothing that is appropriate for anticipated and actual weather conditions.
