Ski Butternut remains a family owned resort that is now in its 61st year of operation. On any given day you will see generations of families tearing up the slopes together. With some staff members who have been with us for 30 years, our guests literally become our extended family. Don’t ski? No problem. We have the recently voted #8 Best Tubing Center in the country….with 10 lanes!
You can also just relax and take in the scenery while waiting for your kids at our brand new ski in bar, Channings, open after hours!
Role Description
Ever wonder what a Lift Attendant actually does? Hands down, being a Lifty is the best job on the mountain!
- We are responsible for
:
O
- perating those ginormous ski lifts
- Assisting guests with loading and unloading, which isn’t always as cut and dry as it sounds
- Ensuring guest safety
- Providing top notch guest service
- Pressing some really cool buttons that run multi million dollar machines
I
- nterested in working in one of our coveted Lifty positions and having guests tell you they ride your lift all day because you’re “The best Lifty on the mountain!” or because “Your playlists are amazing. Best ski resort music ever!”?

Qualifications
- Previous Lifty experience preferred, not required

- Ability to move quickly and calmly
- Genuine ability to flex with the winter wind

- Ability to know when it’s best to speak and when to listen.
- Acknowledging that resort work is teamwork and everything is everyone’s job
. Whether that’s picking up trash while walking to the lodge, helping a guest with the best lift to get to Downspout or assisting a nervous skier getting on the chairlift for the first time. We all do it all.
